Warm-Up | Gentle stretching and light exercises prepare your body for dancing while strengthening your core, back, and abdominal muscles. |
Technique | Learn basic belly dance movements, footwork, and proper body mechanics. |
Dance Practice | Gradually combine the movements into choreography and dance along with the music. |
Cool Down | Finish with gentle exercises that help your body relax safely. |
Meet Your Instructor
KAORU
After graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting), she discovered the art of belly dance while working in theater in the United States.
Upon returning to Japan, she was selected as a Finalist in the Newcomer Solo Division at the Tokyo International Belly Dance Competition (TIBC) 2010.
She then worked as a professional belly dancer and instructor in Tokyo and Yokohama before relocating to Cairo, Egypt, in 2013.
In 2014, she joined the Cairo Opera House Dance Company, where she performed for four years at the Cairo Opera House and on stages throughout Egypt.
As a performer, she has appeared in films, television programs, commercials, international belly dance festivals, and cultural events hosted by the Embassy of Japan, as well as many other prestigious performances.
As an instructor, she has taught Egyptian, Arab, and international students, gaining extensive experience in teaching dancers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
During her seven years living in Egypt, she immersed herself in Egyptian life, developing a deep understanding of Arab culture and becoming fluent in Arabic.
She also translates Arabic song lyrics, helping dancers connect more deeply with the meaning and emotion behind the music.
She currently teaches belly dance in Hayama and Zushi, Japan, sharing the beauty of belly dance and the richness of Arabic music and culture with students of all levels.

As-salamu alaykum السلام عليكم (Peace be upon you)
I am a bellydancer, Kaoru.
I taught bellydance to Egyptian, Arab and expat women in Cairo for 7years.
My experience of teaching in Egypt can be very useful and helpful for you who want to learn bellydance.
I learned local Egyptian culture and Arabic language by jumping into the local life, dancing as the only foreign dancer in an Egyptian dance company at Cairo Opera House.
In my lessons, I will share not just the techniques, but also the meaning of the lyrics and cultural background.
We will also learn about rich varieties of Arabic music, trends, and structure of Arabic music.
My lessons are for every level of dancers who want to explore and enjoy belly dance in depth.
For me as a teacher, it is crucial that everyone learns and dances in a supportive and open atmosphere.
Come and try the lesson!! If you do not speak Japanese, no problem! We can speak in English.

- Please note our tattoo policy: As a general rule, students with tattoos are not accepted. Tattoos measuring 10 cm or less are permitted only if they are completely covered during lessons.
